There sure were some big time
performances in the talent
contest in the little town of
Abeydel on Friday, December
7th, 2007 at Joe's Abeydel
Restaurant & Lounge.
The youngest contestant, 13 year
old Kirsten Gomez, was the
victorious singer. She won over
$100 cash and other prizes with
her singing of "You Ain't Woman
Enough". She even confidently
walked off the stage and on to the
dance floor, without the need for
the on-screen lyrics.
“I sing all the time and I chose
(that) song as it is one of the first
ones I learned to sing and play on
my guitar,” Kirsten said.
What will Kirsten do with the prize
money? She said “I have to get
(my) Nanny and my little brother a
Christmas gift, Mom too I guess.
Then, I will buy more Karaoke
music.”
Second place went to Jeremy Chambers (guitar) and Tommy Krieger
(keyboard/vocals). They won $50 and other prizes for their song
"Release Me From the Bondage of Your Love".
Karaoke Addiction Magazine helped organize the event and provided
some of the prizes. Some of the prizes included a KAM shirt, KAM hats,
karaoke CD’s, a DVD, other t-shirts and more. Everyone who entered in
the contest had a prize to take home.
